Facts

The 11,585ha property stretches 27 kilometres from Alexandra’s town boundary on the Manuherikia River to the native tussock grasslands and rocky outcrops of the Manorburn Plateau up to 1100 metres above sea level.

The property runs 8100 sheep and 120 breeding cows.

In winter, temperatures regularly dive into double digits below zero and in summer soar to 30 degree-plus days with an average annual rainfall of around 320mm, in dry years it has been as little as 175mm and our best year to date was 500mm.

Merinos thrive in the dry and this is reflected in the quality of our spinners style clip.
