Our passion for merino wool runs through the whole family.

Merino is incrediable to wear. It feels soft and luxurious against the skin. Its breathability helps regulate the body’s temperature to keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter.  

Consumers world wide are embracing the use of this natural fibre for all sorts of applications from Haute Couture fashion on the runways of Europe, military uniforms for service men and women to performance wear from athletes to astronauts. 

Producing this raw natural fibre takes skill, patience and dedication. Having long term wool contracts confirms that we are producing what buyers want. We strive for excellence in each fleece grown.  

The climatic environment our sheep live in is constantly changing so we ensure that they live a “good life”  free from hunger, thirst, discomfort, illness and disease.

Our average flock micron is 17.0  and we produce over 40,000kgs per year.  Matangi’s wool is a stylish spinners type wool. used by the elite fashion houses world wide.   Italian manufacturers Reda purchase a large proportion of our clip. 

John Sanders prides himself on classing the clip, he is is an exceptional wool classer. It’s his passion and its catching.  Brett has enjoyed working along side his dad for more than 25 years.  The knowledge gained by spending time by the classing table watching John is something not to be missed.
